Job Vacancy: Part-Time Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and file income tax returns for Workbench and Workbench Labs.
• Oversee tax planning, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
• Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for both entities.
• Provide advice on tax-saving strategies and assist in financial planning initiatives.
• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including:
  • Recording financial transactions (income, expenses, and payments).
  • Reconciling bank statements and accounts.
  • Processing invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Preparing financial reports (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets).
  • Tracking and monitoring cash flow.
• Develop and manage budgets, including:
  • Preparing annual and quarterly budgets for Workbench and Workbench Labs.
  • Monitoring budget performance and identifying variances.
  • Collaborating with management to align budgets with business goals.
  • Providing recommendations to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with a focus on taxation, income tax return filing, bookkeeping, and budgeting.
• In-depth knowledge of Pakistani income tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Peachtree, or similar) and MS Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
