    Long shared desks with dividers between them, under a connection that has a generator and a UPS standing behind it. The grid can do what it likes at three in the afternoon and the floor carries on regardless.

  • Rooms whose doors actually shut

    A board room with a screen in it, huddle rooms for a handful of people, pod rooms and booths for a call that wants privacy. Members book them through Pulse against a monthly quota rather than paying by the hour.

  • A cafeteria with a floor to itself

    Coffee machines, dining tables, vending machines and a foosball table, a staircase away from the desks. Lunch is a change of floor rather than a change of building.

  • A game room somebody has to win

    The table tennis table has produced an actual tournament, and the engraved plaques from it are photographed further down this page. There is a gaming corner too, two wall-mounted screens with controllers on a bench.

    A ladies’ prayer room and a gents’ prayer room, inside the building, so the middle of the day needs no planning around.
